Hi, I Have An Acute Follicular Tonsillitis , Starting Mainly

Hi, I have an acute follicular tonsillitis , starting mainly in left tonsil with a severe throbbing pain in left ear
now my both tonsils are swollen and inflamed covered with whitish membrane
is it normal to have such a pain in my ear.. it's my 1st time to experience such a pain.
