Hi,
I have anemia, HGB 8.5, and all the other blood indicators below the normal range. After 2 weeks of ferrous sulfate (325 mg, 2xdaily), HGB improved to 10.5, and HCT and MCV are normal, but my RDW changed from 15.8 to 20.7. What is this indicator and what does the new number, higher than the normal range of 11-15.9, mean?
I am continuing my iron plus B12 regimen for another 2 weeks to test my blood again.
