Hi I Have Been Diagnosed With Decaying Gums , So

Hi I have been diagnosed with decaying gums , so I started treating it by using electric toothbrush , corsodyol and corsodyl toothpaste . My bottom gums are all healed and my top gums are getting better , they don't bleed but ache slightly. Theere have been compliants from staff that I smell like rotten meat even when I don't speak. Can this decaying gums be responsible for this smell or can it be something else. some times I get on the train from work and people act like I smell. Please I need help.
