Hi I Have Been Getting My Period Every Month And

Hi I have been getting my period every month and I was told that I have not been ovulating... Can u plz explain to me how is that possible?. I have been trying to have a baby for the past year and 2 months but I'm struggling.. Everything has been checked and they are all okay. It's just that I'm not ovulating at all...
