Hi! I Have Been Having Unusual Periods For The Last

Hi! I have been having unusual periods for the last couple of months. I am on birth control and sexually active. The blood is much darker, stringy, jelly like blood that stays together. When I got up from the toilet I also noticed the blood sank right to the bottom. I am wondering if I could be concerned about this.
