Hi I Have Been On A Combination Birth Control For

Hi I have been on a combination birth control for over a year. I have always gotten light periods but the last two months I have not gotten a period. I have not missed any pills and I was only sexually active once since I've gotten my last period and that was during the week I was supposed to get my next period. I've heard that after a while on the pill your periods can get very light or not happen at all. Is this possibly what happened?
