Hi I Have Been On Metformin For About Two Weeks.

Hi I have been on metformin for about two weeks. I started out with 500mg then the dr up the dose. when I went up to a Bid I got really sick. so the dr lower it to 500mg. the dr think im a diabetic my numbers are low but my aic is 7. 3 months ago it was 6.1 I have been gagging all day today and I lost my voice on Thursday. know I have been coughing and feel like I have to vomit all day. is the metformin causing this. the dr start me off on insulin 4 times a day with exercise and dieting my numbers kept dropping. I really don't think I need metformin.
