Hi, I Have Been On The Combipatch 0.05-0.14 Mg Since

Hi, I have been on the combipatch 0.05-0.14 mg since April 2015. I am 59 years old. How long can a person be on this patch? and should you give the body a rest from it? Also is it normal to have spotting from time to time while being on it? I started using it because of my menopause, it has made a difference but I'm leery about taking it.
