Hi, I Have Been Prescribed Prednisolone 40mg To Take Each

Hi,

I have been prescribed Prednisolone 40mg to take each morning for 6 days due to angiodema & hives. I've just woken up (4am UK time) itching like mad with a few hives all over the place.

My question is can I take Piriton 4mg tablets (chlorphenamine maleate) alongside the Prednisolone?

I'm itching like mad & feel like my skin is crawling so need relief asap!

I suffer with chronic hives & angiodema & was in the ED at the local hospital yesterday as my face swelled & was generally unwell. They gave me a shot of hydrocortisone & sent me on my way to start taking 40mg Prednisolone this morning.

So I need to know if I can take Piriton alongside the Prednisolone??
