Hi
I have been searching online for days for information that might identify my condition, yet have ceased to find anything that seems similar to my symptoms. I was hoping that maybe you could identify it and tell me what it is...
For the past week, I have had a soft lump approximately where my thyroid is on my throat.
For the longest time, I would always crack my neck myself because it's very stiff and relieves the pain. About three weeks ago, I cracked my neck per usual, and I felt very dizzy and light headed afterward. After that instance, I would try to refrain from cracking my neck as much, since every time I did , I would continue to get lightheaded. About a week later, I cracked my neck and felt a sharp pain in my neck, slight pain in my chest and dizziness. That was the final straw for me, so after that I didn't crack my neck for the rest of the day. This is where I believe it all started.
The next morning after this instance, I woke up and was examining my sore neck with my hands and noticed a soft lump precisely where my thyroid is located. This lump wasn't very painful, just a slight annoyance, so I brushed it off and went throughout my day.
The next morning, it became worse. I could definitely feel it in my throat, and was causing some difficulty breathing
4 days later and it is a great annoyance and slightly more painful. It feels hard, like a piece of cartilage or something. It causes me difficulty breathing, but only on occasions. I feel like it is becoming bigger as the days progress. I'm usually up until 1 in the morning adjusting my pillow because it feels like there's a lump of marbles weighing my throat down. It now feels like a bulge when I swallow. Like I said my throat doesn't feel sore, it just feels like something is either sticking out or is enlarged. I went to the doctor and he didn't know what it was so hopefully with the information provided you could give me a guess to what you may think it is.
Any more additional information you may need just let me know and I will provide it to you.
Thank you.
