Hi I Have Been Suffering With Really Bad Periods For

I have been suffering with really bad periods for approx 2 years. The bleeding is heavy and more recently the clots are big and every time i wipe myself. The pains are like labour contractions.
I went to GP who did smear, swabs and sent me for ultrasound. The ultrasound detected uterine polyp in the wall of uterus and thickening of the lining of the womb.
Polyps are only small and i can nit see this causing the bad pain during and after my perid.
What is the treatment for polyp and thickening of the womb please
