Hi, I Have Dental Cyst Which Got Infected. It Is

Hi, I have dental cyst which got infected. It is painful and I started to feel the pressure inside my gum. I have oral surgeon appointment in 2 weeks only. Meanwhile my dentist prescribed me antibiotic and ibuprofen which are not very helpful. So I am thinking I would need to ask for more strong temporary treatment like steroids, ie Prednisolone. Please advise
