Hi I Have Had A Bad Cough And Chest Congestion

I have had a bad cough and chest congestion for 2 months along with 2 small lumps ont he right side of my neck. My ovaries and lower back also ache to the point of sometimes being really uncomfortable to walk. Intercourse is painful. I find I am also bruising easily. My mother had breast cancer and both of her parents passed away due to cancer so needless to say she is quite worried.
My dr prescribe clarithromycin a week ago which has had no effect. What other steps should I take?
