Hi, I Have Had A Bad Cough For A Couple

Hi, I have had a bad cough for a couple of days now and have just noticed that I have a fleshy lump to the right hand side of my tonsil, seemingly growing out of the wall of my mouth. It is painless, but I can feel it is there when swallowing. I also have a tightening/aching on the same side, between my jaw and right ear. Could you tell me what you think this is?
