Hi I Have Had A Clear Plastic Earring Back Stuck

Hi I have had a clear plastic earring back stuck in my second lobe piercing on my right for about a year now. A week prior to it being completely stuck it was stuck and I managed to get it out. However, when it got stuck for the second time I noticed it was stuck horizontally and I simply couldn't get it out so I left it. It doesn't hurt and I can't still wear earrings. Will leaving the back in my ear cause major health issues?
