Hi, I Have Had A Ear Infection For About 2

Hi, I have had a ear infection for about 2 weeks now. Doctor had prescribed me antibiotic drops and amoxicillin, I took these for 1 week but there was no improvement to how I felt.. anyway I had to change doctors eventually as I just had no joy from them, my new doctor has told me the infection has nearly gone and for me to use olive oil in my ear which I have been doing so for nearly 2 weeks, I have a really bad headache with my ear, is this normal?
