Hi, I Have Had A Rash On One Side Of

Hi, I have had a rash on one side of my face for about 4 months now. When I went to the doctor he thinks it's shingles. But I've had no blisters. Looks like ringworm, but been treating it for all this time and want go away. Not real painful but does tingle when I sleep on it. Itching does appear ever so often. Started on my neck and spread to my face up to cheek. Then moved over twards my mouth on my cheek and neck. Please help. I don't want to take meds for shingles if it isn't that. I've had shignles and they truly hurt, this doesn't hurt like that.
