Hi I Have Had Gallbladder Like Symptoms For Well Over

Hi I have had gallbladder like symptoms for well over a year now. Sharp pain in the upper abdomen right under the ribs. Multiple attack like pains and I never know when it will hit me. I've gotten an ultrasound which showed minimal sludge. I've had an endoscopy which showed mild gastritis. Then I've had a HIDA scan which came back with a 92% function. The surgeon told me I can have the surgery or I don't have to because there are no risks with living with it. Do you think I should go on with the surgery or live with a low fat diet?
