Hi I Have Had Heart Burn For A Month Now

Hi I have had heart burn for a month now following a curry i have been to gp. I have had a fasting blood test which was ok all told to take 2x20 omoprasol and waiting for camera to look down my throat. Is there anything else I can take or avoid to help in the mean time.many thanks
