I have had on and off discomfort in my anal area for 7 or 8 months. It will come and go. Sometimes, I will experience nothing and think I am fine and then it will come back. The discomfort follows a bowel movement and it feels like something is still there. Perhaps it is irritation deep inside. I'm not sure. It is concerning to me. I am getting a colonoscopy in a few weeks but do not experience any real stomach pain or bleeding.
