Hi, I Have Had The Implanon Contraceptive In My Arm

Hi, I have had the implanon contraceptive in my arm since October 2014. I had a heavy period for the first month and a half then never bled since then. And now for the past two weeks I've been bleeding and had a dark brown creamy discharge and i don't know if i should get it removed and get put on regular birth control (the pill) or go see my doctor...Please help.
