Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have had these symptoms for over a week now - the bridge of my nose is red, swollen and very painful (throbbing sensation). I put a cold compress on my nose before I went to bed last night and it seemed to ease the pain a little bit. I first noticed the pain while blowing my nose - it was located near the tip of my nose where the bone joins the cartilage. Then the pain started moving up. I couldn't really understand what caused it. I thought that maybe my husband punched my nose while sleeping, but I am 99.9% this did not happen. The doctor gave me a course of antibiotics for sinusitis which I have finished but do not feel any better, in fact today I feel worse. Can you advise?
