Hi, I Have Located Upper Right Moving Pain Below Rib

Hi, I have located upper right moving pain below rib down to appendix area and over toward upper to middle colon. I am 40, have had 2 kids 9 & 7 c-section, had appendix removed about 20 years ago. Have mid-lumbar region pain mild maybe on a scale of 2, the pain in my side though has progressed from a 3 to an 8 just this evening grocery shopping pushing the cart. Then driving home was piercing and subsided. Now only about a 3, and I haven't felt this level (8) ever. I thought it was just a muscle strain but the pain is moving and to touch. Any suggestions? Kidney stones? or any other possibilities? Would a urine & ultrasound detect the problem?
