Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have may different symptoms all of which the doctors say is an autoimmune disorder. I did test positive for ANA's first. Then I saw an internalist and told him that I started out really naseous, and bloated. Next came the body aches and the terrible fatigue. After about a month, the nausea went away but I still will have weird aches and pains. Then I noticed a few months ago that my fingers (at first just certain ones) would feel cold and hurt like frostbite and turn white. This however has gotten worse and even with slippers or socks on they hurt and are cold. I also developed dry mouth and dry eyes. Furthermore I've had chest pains that come and go and moments where I will totally lose my train of thought and just completely forget what I was saying. I got tests for Sjogren's disease, however the doctor said the lab didn't test for that, but he phoned them and they said results came back normal. So now I'm not sure if they even did test it and just said that because I am not making up these symptoms. So now I have to see a rheumatologist. Is it possible to still have an autoimmune disease without it showing up on a blood test?
