Hi, I Have Not Been Diagnosed As Of Yet But

Hi, I have not been diagnosed as of yet but after reading up on hernias I am positive that is what I am suffering from. It happened quickly & very strangely to me, I sat down on a stool at work and turned quickly & something felt like it snapped. It started burning & was tender afterwards. This was about a month ago & I had just assumed that it was a pulled muscle but it is still very tender, numb around the area which is located to the right of my belly button & & up a little bit about approx. 6 inches. I suffer from pain, soreness, it is sensitive to the touch, and at times itches quite a bit. I am a 58 year old female & my question is.....do all these symptoms sound like a hernia?
