Hi I Have Noticed A Lump Or Thickening Above Each

Hi I have noticed a lump or thickening above each of my testicles in the scrotum. They are not painful. I noticed about a week ago while I had stomach flu. There is no swelling, no tenderness, or discoloration. I have no history of injury or other health issues in the past. I do not recall noticing before in past self exams. As of late I have been examining myself pretty much every day. I do not feel any pain or tears and my testicles still feel normal. Also to note I felt pain in my left side, but after a day or two I realized it was in my groin area and not in my scrotum. I would just like to know if this can be considered serious and if I should seek treatment. Thank you for your time.
