Hi. I Have One Red Patch Of Rough Skin On

Hi. I have one red patch of rough skin on my mons and it itches severely at times. Also it has a lump underneath the skin. My boyfriend seems to have the same thing but I don't know what it could be. We are both loyal to eachother and have not had sexual Intercourse with anyone else. What could this be and how do I get rid of it?
