Hi, I Have Pain Under My Ribs On My Right

Hi, I have pain under my ribs on my right side. I don't know what is causing such pain.They did find that I have 3 pulmonary embolisms - one on the right side side and two on the left side of my lungs. I am taking xarelto for blood thinning medication. I can't understand why such intense pain on my right side under the ribs. Do you think this is connected to the blood clots? How should I treat the pain?
