Hi I have swelling in my ankles and knees.went to doctor and adviced me to a test report of my cholesterol Uric acid SGOT SGPT lipid profile test HDL and LDL all showed normal except blood glucose fasting which is 150 and should be 90.He adviced me to take Metformin 500 mg X 2.when I take Metformin I feel stomach bloating and pain in the abdomen like trapped wind.What substitute medication I can take and how can stop this swollen ankle and feet and discomfort in the stomach.
