Hi, I Have To Get 4 Of My Wisdom Teeth

Hi, I have to get 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted tomorrow. Several sites say to quit smoking 12 hours prior to surgery, some other literature I have read discuss the complications of smoking with IV sedation. I had smoked pipe tobacco (not cigarettes) 10 hours before the scheduled surgery. Should I postpone the surgery to another day to reduce any complication that may occur?
