I have undergone adenotonsillectomy seven day ago(17/12/2014). Though I have no issues with the healing process, I tend to spit out brownish-red phlegm. Since the wound is healing properly according to my surgeon, I suspect an infection but I am not so sure. When I spit it out, there is also a generation of bad smell, and there is very little pain. The mucous is also very thick.
