Hi I Have Used My Hot Water Bottle On My

Hi I have used my hot water bottle on my legs when I had the flu and its left a mottled look which appears to be toasted skin syndrome, from what I've read. There is no rash or anything on the surface of the skin, its all just below the skin. I have stopped using the hot water bottle now but the marks have remained for over a week now.
Do you think this will go on its own? Is there anything I can put on my legs to help heal it? I'm worried this will not go on its own and I will be left with a permanent mark there. Its quite prominent and large in size.
