Hi I Just Got THREE Teeth Removed, And He Stitched

Hi I just got THREE teeth removed, and he stitched them after wards ..... I'm still swollen and can hardly open my mouth nd I have a small black thing on my gum where one of the teeth were ???? I'm afraid it's dry socket ???? How can u tell u have dry socket ?? I'm obv a smoker who needs to quit but I'm scared I fcked my tooth up PLEASE HELP
