Hi, I Just Got My Blood Test Results And It

Hi,
I just got my blood test results and it turns out that I have vitamin d deficiency (13.8 ng/mL) as well as low ferritin and hemoglobin levels. My doctor prescribed vitamin d2 to me and slow FE. I’m curious about why I was prescribed vitamin d2 and not vitamin d3 since vitamin d3 is more effective in terms of raising vitamin d levels in the human body. Should I be taking vitamin d2 or d3?
