Hi, I Just Had A PAP Smear And They Offered

Hi, I just had a PAP smear and they offered to do STD test and they called to tell me that I have Herpes! Could that ever be a possibility that the test might be wrong? I only have had an ex husband, one relationship that was very short and now I have been with my BF for 2 years. That's all my life worth of Sexual relationships, I am 37 now and this is freaking me out
