Hi I Just Recently Started Taking The Combination Birth Control

Hi I just recently started taking the combination birth control pill. My doctor told me to wait 7 days before having unprotected sex and so had everything I have read in the internet. I started taking it midway through my cycle and had unprotected sex in the 8th day of taking the pill. Is it possible that I am pregnant or am I bring paranoid
