I might be having heart problems. I got a friend that promised me to pay for my medical bill and told me to look for a doctor as soon as possible. I have called a couple of pcp heart clinics already to inquire information in regards to billing. I do not want or cant be liable for any medical bill at all because I can't afford it. One clinic told me that the patient is always responsible for the bill no matter what. My understanding is that here in the USA the medical bills usually come after the procedures and diagnoses are done... Is there any way to make arrangements for the patient to avoid liability, such as paying the bill in advance? Thank you.
