Hi, I Realised A Hard Lump Type On The Top

Hi, I realised a hard lump type on the top of my skull about a year a go, it now feels like it's spread to around the back part of the skull but it feels rock hard like bone, it kinda feels like bone is inflating if that makes any sense. Because my hair is kind of getting pushed out by it and I tend to get ringing noise in my ears on and off all day mainly when I'm lying down. But I've had a cat scan which came back ok. What should I do. Would you recommend I get skull X-ray?
