Hi! I Recently Had Blood Work Done Due To Me

Hi! I recently had blood work done due to me being anemia now the results was 17 and she said it should be 50 now I'm confused because she referred me to a hemoglobin Dr we'll the Dr called to schedule an appointment but this Dr is a cancer Dr. Now can you tell me what these results are from and why would I have to see a cancer Dr ???
