Hi I Think I May Have Telogen Effluviem As I

I think I may have telogen effluviem as I have diffuse thinning across the top of my head that has occurred in the last month. Iv noticed more hair than usual falling out but not as much as most places say telogen effluviem would shed.
Iv had my thyroid checked and mpb has happened to a couple of uncles but it only started for them in there 40s and I'm 23. Plus this seems to have happened way too fast to be mpb..
Anyway my question is : is it possible to have TE but not have as much shedding as mentioned but rather a more gradual one and how long will it take for the hair to grow back.. Iv got fairly short hair but can't see much regrowth.
