Hi I Used To Take The Mini Pill And Experienced

Hi I used to take the mini pill and experienced no side effects. I stopped taking it for about a year and this month was put on the combined pill to have my periods more regularly and have been bleeding since the day I took it. My pack runs out on Monday but I am going on holiday on Friday. I don't want to have my period whilst on holiday but I don't want breakthrough bleeding either. I am seeing a doctor on Monday. If I switch immediately from the combined pill back to the mini-pill, will this induce a period / will I still experience breakthrough bleeding? Please let me know the best way to stop the bleeding!
