Hi, I Was Diagnosed W Shingles About A Week Ago.

Hi, I was diagnosed w shingles about a week ago. Finished my steroid pack and will be done w antiviral meds tomorrow. I don’t know if I should get back to the Dr. or I should just give this some more time to run it’s course. Just not feeling good, and thought after meds I would be much better!!! My last blood work showed sugar levels creeping, they think as a result of some weight gain.......are shingles connected to something like that, as a autoimmune condition?? Maybe I’m expecting to feel better sooner......7 days with meds??......although what I am reading this could be possible 3 to 4 weeks?? Thanks for any answers!!.......sorry, did not know there would be a charge for info......I will be back8ng out!! TY!
