Hi, I Was Diagnosed With Oral Herpes Three Days Ago.

Hi, I was diagnosed with oral herpes three days ago. I have been in a lot of pain with my swelling gums and lower lip. I was just taking a nap and woke up to blood running down my throat and realized there was a lot of blood coming from the back right side of my mouth and there was a dark clump that came out with it. Is that normal/ Do you know what that lump was?
