Hi. I Was Playing Football And Fell Awkwardly And Landed

Hi. I was playing football and fell awkwardly and landed on my hand, hurting my finger. The knuckle on my ring finger was swollen and bruised. This was two months ago, and the knuckle is still swollen and bruised. I presumed I had sprained it. I expected it to heal eventually over the next week or two, but this hasn't happened and the finger is still tender. Any suggestions and how to mend this?
