I was taking a Detrol generic - toltolderine ...... My insurance would no longer cover it, so my primary care physician gave me a prescription for oxybutynin 5mg x2 daily. It has caused unbelievably severe dry-mouth, so that my tongue almost sticks to my palate. She is on vacation. I wondered if I should try to take 1/2 a pill twice daily (ie. 2.5 mg) and see if that works to control bladder and also reduce the dry-mouth.
