Hi, I Went To Urgent Care Cause I Was Throwing

Hi, I went to urgent care cause I was throwing up and had diarrhea and fainted. They did blood work and even though my white blood cell count was NOT high, they said I had high bacteria and put my in cipro. I have had diarrhea on and off for the last month so I thought maybe I have a bacterial infection in my stomach, I read the side effects and was a little concerned but I just started taking it last night. I work for a derm and he told me he was surprised they put me on cipro cause of the more serious side effects and that they usually will pick something else as a first choice. What is your opinion on cipro for stomach infection?
