Hi, I'm 23 And Play Semi-professional Hockey. About A Week

Hi, I'm 23 and play semi-professional hockey. About a week and a half ago I was hit by a puck directly on the outside of my left ankle (obviously I was wearing skates so they took most of the blow). I've been playing hockey for a while so I know the basics of treatment and went home and iced. As I mentioned, its been about a week and a half and I have been icing every day continuously. When I try and skate I am getting pain in front of my ankle and back behind where my Achilles tendon is. My ankle is still pretty swollen but there is minimal bruising. I have been told it could be tendinitis, but I am just wondering why the pain is not on my ankle. Thank you!
