Hi, I'm 32 Years Old And Had A Transvaginal Pelvic
Hi, I'm 32 years old and had a transvaginal pelvic ultrasound done. Below are the findings and impression.
FINDINGS: Uterus measures 8.6 x 4.7 x 5.3 CM. IUD seen within the uterus. Endometrium homogeneous but thickened measuring 2.2 CM in thickness. Small cystic lesion seen in the region of the uterine cervix measuring up to 4 mm most compatible with nabothian cyst. Right ovary measures 3.4 x 2.0 x 3.1 CM. Left ovary measures 4.1 x 2.3 x 2.9 CM. Flow seen within both ovaries. Trace amount of pelvic free fluid.
IMPRESSION: 1. IUD seen within the uterus. 2. Thickened endometrium measuring up to 2.2 CM in thickness. Differential considerations include endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial polyp, or endometrial carcinoma. 3. Trace amount of pelvic free fluid.
What exactly does Impression #2 mean? Could there be something wrong? Could I possibly have a cancerous condition?
