Hi, I'm 61 Years Old And I've Been Taking BP

Hi, I'm 61 years old and i've been taking BP control tablets for the last 17 years. Currently I'm taking Telmisartatan 80mg since 2010.
6 months ago I stopped all alcohol intake and I've since been suffering from joint and muscle pain, a feeling of fluid in my feet when I get up in the morning (this lasts for about 5 minutes) and waking up at night with a fast heart beat and just lately waking up at night with numbness in 2 or 3 fingers. Maybe that could be the result of resting my head on my hands at night?
Should I stop taking Telmisartan 80mg?
