Hi, I'm 81 Yrs. Old, In Good Shape, But Am

Hi, I'm 81 yrs. old, in good shape, but am now experiencing quite a bit of knee pain on the outside of my right leg. I'm also noticing an audible click in the knee also. I walk about 6 miles each week, but am no longer able to do this. I'm hoping knee replacement is not the answer.
